The HSB associations
At present there are 31 HSB Associations in Sweden, each with a varying number of local housing co-operatives and home-saver members.The HSB Associations are responsible for the members organisation within their own tenant-owners’ associations, and they carry out new HSB building projects. They also offer technical, financial and administrative management services to both HSB tenant-owners’ associations and other property owners.
HSB Associations are members of the HSB National Federation , which holds HSB meetings every other year with 171 authorised members. Annual meetings are held every year. At the annual meeting, every HSB Association is represented by an authorised member who has a varying number of votes depending on the HSB Association’s membership numbers.
At the HSB meeting and annual meeting guidelines are drawn up for the future of the organisation, among other things. Representatives of authorised members are appointed by, and are members of, the HSB Associations.
