Welcome to Your New Home

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR NEW HOME

My colleagues and I at HSB Malmö can finally welcome you to your new home in HSB brf Atleten! HSB Malmö manages the association and we will do our utmost to ensure that you are happy here with us. Following below are few simple – but important – tips to make things easier for you.

MITT HSB

Mitt HSB is your user account page, which provides an overview of your membership and your home. As a member and resident of HSB, you automatically have a user account. Log in with your BankID or password.

REPORTING A PROBLEM AND HOTLINE

If something is broken or not working properly in your apartment or in the building, you should report this.

Read more about reporting problems here (in swedish).

FEE INVOICES

The monthly fee is paid in advance. You have received the first fee invoice, after which you will receive them quarterly. The fee invoices will be automatically sent to your email address (or Kivra if you have an account), and will also be available via Mitt HSB. You are able to choose other digital options, learn more here (in swedish).

Here you will find frequently asked questions about, for example, pledge fees and transfer fees (in swedish).

ELECTRICITY AND WATER

The association has Individual Measurement and Billing. This means that electricity and hot water consumption are measured individually for each apartment. As a resident, you therefore pay for your own consumption, the cost of which is specified on your fee invoice.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

As a member, you are part of Sweden’s largest property association, which gives you many benefits, such as discounts on home insurance, free swimming lessons and legal advice. In addition, you will receive our popular magazine Hemma i HSB, which provides inspiration and information about our Good Living concept.

If you do not yet have a home-savings account with us, we recommend opening one. This will give you (or your children or grandchildren) priority in our newly built cooperative housing apartments and 25,000 rental apartments across Sweden.

HAVE A POSITIVE EFFECT ON YOUR PROPERTY

Cooperative housing is a form of housing in which you and neighbours own the entire property. What you buy is not the apartment itself but a share in the association and the right to live in your apartment.

The association is governed by you and your neighbours and together you appoint a board of directors, which is responsible for the day-to-day operations. A well-managed association has a positive effect on the property and, in turn, the value of your apartment. Being involved in the board or in the association can contribute to greater satisfaction as a homeowner as well as offer financial benefits.

If you become a board member, you have the opportunity to attend our appreciated and free courses, lectures and networking meetings.

WELCOME TO THE MOVE-IN MEETING

This autumn, after everyone has moved in, my colleagues and I will invite you to a welcome meeting. We will tell you more about how a cooperative housing association works, such as the upcoming move-in meeting. You will naturally have a chance to ask questions! So keep an eye on your inbox for the invitation.

QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS?

We regularly update the association’s website with information relating to the property. In addition, the HSB Malmö website includes a FAQ section (in swedish).

If you can’t find an answer to your question, feel free to contact the property managers throught the form Förvaltaren

Lastly, my colleagues and I at HSB Malmö would like to wish you all the best with your new apartment and we hope that you will truly enjoy your new home!

Sincerely,

Lisa Renntun
