Laundry Room Guidelines

 

For everyone’s comfort and hygiene

 

To keep the laundry room clean, fresh, and fully functional for everyone, we ask each household to follow these guidelines after completing a laundry session.

 

Cleaning after each booking

Before your laundry session ends, you should:

1. Clean the machines

 

  • Wipe the tops, doors, and rubber seals of the washing machines.
  • Check and clean the detergent compartments if needed.
  • Empty and clean the lint filters in the dryers.
  • Wipe the inside of the dryers if there is moisture or dirt.

 

2. Clean floors and surfaces

 

  • Sweep or vacuum the floor.
  • Wipe up any spilled detergent, fabric softener, or water.
  • Wipe benches, tables, and other work surfaces.

 

3. Remove personal items

 

  • Take all laundry with you, including from drying cabinets and dryers.
  • Do not leave detergents, baskets, or clothes behind.
  • Dispose of trash in the designated bin.

 

4. Finish on time

 

  • Your laundry session includes cleaning time.
  • The laundry room must be completely cleared and cleaned before the next session begins.

 

Important reminders

  • Respect your booked time, start and finish on schedule.
  • Use the correct amount of detergent to avoid overdosing and spills.
  • Do not wash heavily soiled items (e.g., rugs, pet blankets, or muddy clothes) without first confirming it is allowed.
  • Any faults with machines or laundry room equipment should be reported via HSB Fault Report at 010-442 11 00 or by submitting the “Fault Report” form on the Brf Balder website.
  • Be considerate, eave the laundry room clean and pleasant for the next person.
