Gällande fastighetsnära insamling gäller följande i Upplands Väsby kommun:

Kläder och textilier:
Sedan 1 januari 2025 ska textilavfall sorteras ut från annat avfall och samlas in separat. Detta gäller inte bara i Sverige, utan inom hela EU. Det nya kravet innebär du inte längre får kasta trasiga kläder och andra kasserade textilier i ”den vanliga soppåsen”, restavfallet. Textilavfall ska i stället sorteras ut och lämnas till kommunens insamlingssystem.

Clothing and textiles:

Since January 1, 2025, textile waste must be sorted out from other waste and collected separately. This applies not only in Sweden, but throughout the EU. The new requirement means that you can no longer throw torn clothes and other discarded textiles in the "regular garbage bag", the residual waste. Textile waste must instead be sorted out and handed over to the municipality's collection system.

Felsorteringsavgift. När avfall sorteras fel debiteras en avgift på 2000 kronor utöver kostnaden för hämtningen. Som felsorterat avfall räknas till exempel om elavfall eller farligt avfall lämnas i restavfallet. Förpackat matavfall i restavfallet räknas också som felsortering.

Incorrect sorting fee. When waste is sorted incorrectly, a fee of SEK 2,000 is charged in addition to the cost of collection. Missorted waste is considered, for example, if electrical waste or hazardous waste is left in the residual waste. Packaged food waste in the residual waste is also considered incorrect sorting.
