Information about charging of Electric vehicles!

Due to recent incidents, the Board would like to inform all residents about the prohibition on charging electric cars and other rechargeable vehicles, such as electric bicycles. This applies in the courtyards, inside the apartments, and in the association’s garage.

Charging an electric car using electricity from the apartment is strictly prohibited!

There have been cases where residents have charged their electric cars by taking electricity from their apartment and running a cable through the window to the vehicle.

This is extremely dangerous and strictly prohibited for safety reasons!

Charging an electric car requires drawing a high electrical current over a long period of time. Standard wall outlets are designed for normal household electricity use and are not built to handle that level of strain.

If a higher load is placed on the electrical installation than it is designed for, excessive heat can build up, which may damage outlets and cables and could lead to a fire. If a fire or other damage occurs, the insurance company may refuse compensation if they determine that you have acted negligently.

This applies to both home insurance and the property insurance, and you may be held financially liable.

In the event of a fully developed fire, the cost to you could amount to millions.
